Pretty, bright gold/yellow blossom petals cradling a lustrous metallic 3mm natural button pearl in dark copper/purple shades. Adorable feminine little earrings! Petals are carved from the gorgeous Golden Lip Oyster shell (see last image), and the studs are 925 sterling silver.

Golden Lip Oysters produce the precious South Sea pearls, and the stunning luster with a bright rainbow they’re known for reflects in the perfect quality of the mother of pearl shell as well. These earrings are not my usual jewelry making style, but I couldn’t resist creating a couple of pairs when I saw the bright beauty of this mother of pearl. They’re small and precious, and creating them was a cheery highlight of my week.
