Crystalized ammonite fossil pendant and earrings set with a thick 925 sterling silver frame and gold leaf accents. Front is a polished half-slice displaying the beauty of the crystalized shell structure in natural brown and mild ochre with a slight green tint, the back has a little red flash of the fossilized mother of pearl.

Ammonites are crystallized fossils of ancient marine animals, 65 million years old! The original material is slowly replaced with various minerals, preserving the beautiful shell structure, and adding to it the lovely crystalline pattern and color. The back of the shell even retains a bit of original mother-of-pearl iridescence… a truly magical stone for a one of a kind pendant. (Background fossil in stone not included :-). )
